I had a VIP experience when I had my hair cut at this salon. Vasco is exceptional in the art of cutting hair. Also Pembe greeted me with a welcoming smile. I would highly recommend getting your hair done here. This place is top notch!

I’ve been a customer of Salon Gaboa for years, and it’s the best salon I’ve ever used. Their stylists and nail techs are total professionals. Before I started going to Salon Gaboa, I asked my assistant at the time, who was herself a hair stylist, to find a really good stylist for me in Clearwater. She was extremely particular about hair cutting technique, having been a stylist at the Vidal Sassoon salon in London. She looked and looked, and couldn’t find a local stylist that was up to her standards. Then someone recommended Salon Gaboa to me. So I suggested that my assistant go over and see what she thought of their stylists. She did just that, and watched both Ben and Vasco cutting hair. She came back and told me they both had great technique and were both totally expert stylists! Ben had the first available appointment, so I went to see him. He’s been doing my hair ever since. I really don’t think you can find a better stylist than Ben or Vasco. I also go to Pembe for pedicures, and she’s just as professional at doing nails as the others are at doing hair. Her polish never comes off, even if I have to push an appointment out much longer than usual. And my nails are always perfect after she does them. But one of the most important things to me is the friendly atmosphere of this salon. They treat their clients more like friends than like customers. I don’t have a lot of time to spend socializing. So when I’m at a salon for a hair appointment lasting a couple of hours, or getting a pedicure for an hour, I want to spend that time with a friend, not someone who just mechanically performs services. That’s the great thing about Salon Gaboa – the owners, Ben, Vasco and Pembe, are the nicest people you could ever meet. Once you’ve been their customers for any length of time, you’ll feel like they’re family. I always look forward to spending time with them. That’s about as good as it gets, but I almost forgot – they also have the best coffee around! :) Julie

I have used this Salon for over 7 years off and on. For the past 2 years, Dana was my stylist and I was very happy with her, and made sure I always tipped her at least 20% or better. The last time I went to her, I wasn't happy with my high lights, but had the understanding, that if I wasn't happy, I could come back and have it corrected. I had a vacation planned and needed it done, But her son was sick so she had another girl do it, which was fine...but on my next appointment, the day of my appointment, I received a call from the shop telling me that her son was sick again and she would call me for an appointment when "she had the time". I asked to have her call me, and when she did, I found out that she FIRED me,(the customer) that she has talked to the owner and that he agreed. She said that she felt like she wasn't making me happy, that we didn't click and that I would be happier if I went elsewhere. I have never felt so badly treated as a customer in my life. They have a nice salon and do good work too...but you better like what they do, or they may not want to do your hair next time.
