Smartstyle Family Hair Salon

I went into Not so Smart Style salon Monday 10/16/11 and signed in at 4pm with a simple request for all over highlights. I walked into the salon with shoulder length light brown hair and some violet red lowlights. I showed the hairdresser Courtney a picture of the golden blonde I'd wished to achieve and she said, "O.k. no problem." She looked at my hair and stated because I was so light it was going to be super easy to pull up and when I asked about the violet she said that it should be fine. After about 2 to 2 1/2 hours of foiling she sat me under the dryer. After shampooing and blow drying my hair I looked in the mirror. I was absolutely appalled that anyone doing hair would allow their customer to even see the mess she made of my hair. It was yellow at the roots and some places platinum, violet, ORANGE, and the light brown!! She asked me what I was thinking...are you serious? Did she think I would be happy with this result?! If I were her I wouldn't have even let my client see it let alone completely dry it and ask how I felt!! When I told her I was unhappy she said she would try and get the more "normal" look I desired. Normal? I'm a 30 year old mom who outgrew the rebellious multi-colored hair years ago!! I should have based on appearance ran the other direction and not even wasted my money! Courtney had 3 different hair colors, extremely sloppy hair and attire. She blamed the violet color for her poor expertise but, it was funny how she only blamed that AFTER screwing up my hair because in the beginning she said it wasn't going to be a problem to get me to a nice golden blonde. So Courtney went through my hair TRIED to correct the orange and violet that was now my hair and than offered to CHARGE ME AGAIN in a week to fix it. Wow..how nice of her?! Sign me up for another paid in full disaster! She rinsed me out and immediately put a malibu treatment on which sent red flags. 6 hours later, $70 and my coat bleached all down the back I left very UNHAPPY. Called their corporate office the next morning and was promised a call back by the next day. No call back. I went into the salon and showed the manager Amanda and she asked me what it was that I didn't like about my hair? I said maybe you're not seeing the same thing I'm seeing but this to me looks like some high school chick did this in her bathroom on her lunch break..not something you pay for! She than said that I was severely undercharged because it should have been a corrective color...ha. You would have thought I went in there with black hair. ACTUALLY I shouldn't have had to pay at all! She offered to try and tone it to get it back to looking a little more blended..I declined that offer as fast as it fell out of her mouth. When I asked for a refund she didn't have the "authority". Nice. Now I get to fight with their corporate office. She said she would definitely talk to her because she was seeing her that night...cheers to be being beer buddies with your employees! Oh and she's really sorry about the entire back of my coat being bleached even though I was wearing a gown. Thanks! That'll definitely buy me a new one..I always pay in sorry's.
