BEWARE: This is definitely a 'bait and switch' nail salon. I walked in for a fill only. Was quoted $15. By the time Nancy sat down and played the typical foreign language game of explaining that my nails did not need acrylic tips because my nails were so long. She said I only needed acrylic because my nails had grown out to the tips of my nails. She popped off all 10 of my acrylics with tips, held my hands up to me and said that will be $30. I was shocked and told her I only came in for the fill at $15. She just kept repeating $30. Of course I paid with an embarrassingly low tip (on purpose to send the message of dissatisfaction.) Nancy was also very rough, tore my pointer finger nail and it bled. Her customer service skills were very poor and hid behind her language of origin even though she said she had been in the States for 13 years. Am considering challenging the charge on my card, but feel it more important to warn others of this Salon. I was visiting my son, so it was a first and last visit. I would not recommend this salon to anyone local or visitor. I have had acrylics done for close to 25 years and have never experienced such poor service and bait/switch in any nail salon in the country.
I would not return. I told the girl how I like my nails shaped, she said ok but never shaped them, or filed them at all, the "gel polish" cracked a few hours after I left the salon. Their "gel polish" is regular polish with some kind of top coat that I guess they consider to be gelish. The technician was nice but the service itself was of no value, I now have to go find time AND pay someone else to remove the rest of this polish and do them properly. Very annoying.
