Bad customer service! I definitely should ve went by these reviews! I called before I came, asked prices and if they were busy. The lady told me no and to come right on. I informed her that I lived right down the street and would be on my way. When I got there they had the water ready for my pedi. I waited while they finished other customers. After she finished she took the lady that came in after me and skipped right over me!
I don't know what all the bad reviews are going on about ! I had a wonderful experience. I sat at my technician's booth and she began doing my nails. The area was not very well ventilated but within 5 minutes the walls began waving at me and Jesus was singing to me from the follicles in my hair. Live entertainment!! I don't remember much after that but I did find myself in the alley a few hours later in a clown suit.
This place probably has its "ups" but for a first visit, mine was definitely a "down". Unfortunately it was so bad that I didn't even have a chance to get my nails done, so I cannot comment on the quality of their technicians ... this is because when I arrived, I was told "10 minutes" to wait for my requested service (basic manicure). No problem. I'll wait. 10 min pass by and she... read more is still working on her customer. Look, I've been given the "10 meenits" at multiple nail places here and in Chicago and know its just to keep you from leaving and is rarely accurate, but when I asked her "How much longer" after 15 min, she said "all I have to do is paint her nails." Amazingly, the technician then proceeded to the back of the salon where she began waxing her client's brows, confirming that she is for sure a liar, and maybe (at best) a gross underestimator of how long it actually takes her to do her job. Clearly I was in for a 30-40 min wait and didn't have a clue. DON'T LIE TO ME. Tell me how long its going to take - especially when its not even close to "10 minutes" - so that I can make the choice myself whether I have the time to wait for you or not. I won't go back. Not worth it.
I went there about 6 months ago, because I could not get in at my reg place. It was a complete waste of my money. The nail tech spent 20 minutes from start to finish: filling in my nails, filing, buffing, and putting 2 coats of polish on (what normally takes my reg nail tech 1 hour to do). Needless to say: the acrylic and nail polish was chipping off like paper the next day, right where she had applied it. I should have went back and complained, but the place was soooo nasty!!!! I just booked with reg girl at my reg place in Arnold. DONT GO HERE, SAVE YOUR MONEY GIRLFRIENDS:)
Absolutely filthy! Being in the cosmetology industry, I know the standards nail salons are supposed to abide by. This salon needs to be shut down. They do not disinfect their tools and after a pedicure I watched the female manicurist clean the tub for about 3 seconds with a TOILET BRUSH and did not clean the drain or sanitize the bowl with the proper solution. The tables and floor are dirty, they do not wash their hands between clients and the buffer and file were pulled out of a drawer with "clean tools", used on me and then placed back in the same drawer to be used on someone else. I am in STL on business from out of state and had no idea this place was so disgusting. NEVER GO HERE! I'm reporting them to the state board.
