When I stepped into Mousey Brown my hair was a colossal mess- bleached to oblivion and breaking off throughout. Erin managed to take me back to my natural dark brown color and through some sort of hair *magic** restore it to a (somewhat) healthy state. Forever grateful, wouldn't trust anyone else.

I won't go anywhere else. The owner Meredith, know absolutely everything about hair. She seems to have a "sixth-sense" about what your hair should look like then makes it happen. If Meredith ever closes up shop, I'll probably resort to shaving my head.

I walked out of there with the right side about 7 inches shorter than the left and the overall cut was like my hair had been through a wood chipper. Please ask a customer if you are doing an uneven cut. Great if you want that "avant garde" look, but not good if you actually have to be seen in public or at work. My friends & coworkers had a good laugh when they saw my new hair cut.

I've been getting my haircut in Philly by a stylist who I've trusted for years but really wanted to find a place in NYC since I recently moved here and going back to Philly for my hair was annoying. Mousey Brown was recommended by a friend and I looked at all the reviews- a ton of mixed good and bad. I am SO picky about my hair -Its long and I need it to stay that way. I couldn't be happier with how my hair turned out. I went in to get a cut and ended up in Rita's chair. Shes awesome, she listened to me and gave me a great cut. She also does a killer blow dry. So excited I finally found a place AND at such a great price.
