Ok, so I am from Brooklyn, NY. I know good hair braiding. I'm here for graduate school and where I'm from, if the shop says "African", they know what they're doing. HUH!!!! Did I learn my lesson! Chances are, if you're on here googling, you're new to the area, let me take the opportunity and school you a little bit and then you can make an informed decision. First, the woman who did my hair (not the owner) did not do a good job. My hair is short, I'll admit, but she struggled the whole 10 hours (YES girl, I couldn't believe it!) She did it so tight, that I thought, well at least it will stay in....NOT! The braids slid off after less than 2 weeks. Secondly, the place is not clean. The bathroom is absurd! Thirdly, they asked for the money/payment in the middle of your head being done! Wasn't feeling that. IF you don't trust me (as your customer), don't do my hair. You can't ask for payment before you render services. What kind of bullshit was that? ALL OF THIS for $160 (for micros). In Brooklyn, and I know this isn't Brooklyn and MF's are getting over like fat rats here, I wish someone would ask me for payment before they finish my hair.....we don't play that. They should install locked doors that only they can OPEN (That's how it's done where I'm from), so if you don't want to give payment, they can call the cops and keep you there until the cops arrive. Fourthly, and this is a big no-no for me, They were very late. Woman (owner) told me I could come at 7:30 am and her first worker didn't arrive to open the door until 9am. Not cool. Try another place. Hope this helps.
Will NOT go there again.! Customer service sucks and i didnt get what i asked for.!
I don't what Oct 16 is talking about. I know these people very well. I've always had my hair done there for four-five years, and they do excellent job.
