I get acrylics here as well as fills every 2 weeks or so and always have had Annie. She does a great job and the prices are so cheap! I stop in on week days after work, and have never had to wait very long at ll. Definitely recommend!
I love this nail salon, I go here all of the time. I make sure to go on the weekdays when they aren't busy and request for Milan. I have acrylic nails and she does a wonderful job with fills, I'm not sure about a new set but she is fantastic when it comes to fills. :) I notice that the previous reviews are from a long time ago so maybe the people there now are newer/more experienced. I recommend this salon. They also offer a discount on new acrylic sets for RIT students. :)
The owner does quality work, but I felt rushed getting my nails done here, personally I like to feel pampered when getting my nails done. In being rushed my nails hurt after being done. As for fills this is when you know if a nail person is any good, I did not like the way my nails looked after being filled, you could still see the line of where the original nail grew out! And also being dissatisfied with the service at the time, they refused to fix it saying that is how fills look. On the positive side never had any nail breakage, very sturdy. If you are trying to save money would advise you to go here for first time nail put on, not fills! Also they offer student discounts which is nice.
I went to this salon on the recommendation of a friend who gets her acrylic nails done here, and I was so disappointed, bleeding, and upset. I just needed a basic manicure as a treat before a wedding I as going to over he weekend. I had been growing my nails out long and I wanted to have the manicure so they would continue to grow nicely. The girl I was assign to asked if I wanted round or square cut for my nails then began to file. She was on her cell phone for half of the manicure! It might have helped if she had focused on my nails because she took 5 of them (on different hands) down to the finger tip! so much for my long nails! The corners of the square cut nails were so sharp I had to file them at home to make them so I wouldn't hurt myself. She also made the square nails crooked/uneven and because she had made them so short there was no room to correct them!!! Then she began to work on my cuticles. She was very rough. Ok, I don't expect it to be a spa manicure for the price so I dealt with it. On my second hand she went low on one cuticle and it started to hurt. The next nail she took the cuticle so low at the base of the nail I began to bleed all along the nail base! SHE DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR CUTTING ME! She just dabbed at the blood like it was no big deal. I have been geting manicures for over a decade at many different places in many different cities and states. I have never had a finger bleeding from a manicure!! Then she put on the color on 4 nails before checking if I liked it. after seeing it I would have gone with a darker color, but at that point I just wanted to get out of there! The color is so light you can see through it to the horrible job she did on the square cut nails. She had me pay after the manicure and I smudged a nail, but I didn't stop. I just ran! I spent the evening seeing if I could fix square cut with the little nail I have left and repainted them at home. I ask, what is the point of paying for a manicure if I have to go home and redo it! They may be good at acrylic nails but don't trust them with your real nails! This was the worst manicure experience I have ever had and I would never go back!
Got a new set of French tip acrylics here but the tech really went to town with the grinder. I left with extremely thick nails and several cuticles were bleeding. If anyone asks me about this place I tell them to stay away.
