I had eyelash extensions done by Becky DelSanto. It was advertised as individual lash extensions, however, she put on flares instead. It has been almost 2 weeks and my lashes are twisted, turning, heavy, clumpy and painful!! My eyelids are red, irritated and swollen. I was informed by two other "Lash Certified" salons that these lashes were incorrectly applied!! Their are excessive clumps of glue on my lashes, and the lash adhesive remover sold at Sally's (recommended by Becky) did nothing to remove the glue, except burn and sting my eyes more! She even suggested I sleep in with the adhesive remover??!! Seriously??!?!!?!! WTF! I called to ask for help, but she said that she does not remove them (not surprised, since she knows her application technique is wrong)!!!! Now, I have to find a salon that is willing to remove these, since many salons turned me away from the poor application done by Becky...AND I may even lose my natural lashes in the process permanently!!! This cheap priced set will cost me hundreds to repair this HORRIBLE LASH JOB! And I pray I can salvage some of my real lashes. Does not even deserve 1 star, I wish I never went, and I wish I knew of this prior to going. There is a reason why she doesn't have any lash pictures up on her Facebook or Instagram...and why it's only $40.00. She is not Lash certified, and should not be doing lashes. She only has a cosmetologist license, and she should just stick to doing nails.
I went to this nail salon for a Shellac manicure. First off, they do not give you a "manicure" the way most nail salons do. The man who did my nails did not put any cuticle softener on my fingers and started clipping my cuticles after they had been dipped in lukewarm water. After that, he proceeded to roughly cut my cuticles. HE CUT ONE OF MY CUTICLES SO DEEP IT BEGAN TO BLEED. He dabbed it with some paper towels and put on some antiseptic drops that made my finger look BLACK at the cuticle. None of their tools are kept in barbicide, nor are they auto-claved, so you can imagine my concern regarding the cut to my finger. He also took 30 minutes to paint my nails - repeatedly painting my skin and using nailpolish remover to remove the excess. After my appointment, I called the salon and demanded to speak to the manager regarding my experience. I was told the manager wouldn't be back until Friday. My finger is now throbbing and continues to bleed and look black. DO NOT GO HERE. You will not get a "manicure" and you will end up with wounded fingers. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TINY SHABBY NAIL "SALON" TO ANYONE.
Never been to this nail salon before went for the first time. U can see the 3 d art work in the pic of my nails. It was a great salon just a very long wait time on saturdays. That is there busiest day. Go during the week or make an appointment. Overrall best nail salon in schenectady. Will go back.
Gel Nail Salon very nice salon. If you want your eyebrows shaped, they are the best, I just hate sitting right next to the door where people are coming in or going out getting my eyebrows waxed. It stings and causes a tear or two to slide down your face and people are looking at you. Everyone there is nice except for the shorter guy, kind of rude and no conversation, except you been here before? He did my nails 3x in 2 months and asked the same question over and over again. But everyone there do a great job on your nails.
