Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas

Based on the experience I had today I would highly recommend it. I was long overdue for a massage. As someone with chronic neck and back discomfort I look forward to when I can get a massage because it really does reset me in a good way. I have had massages on cruises and in a number of cities around the United States at various spas. I had never been to the Red Door Spa in Woodbury before today. The spa itself is very nicely decorated and very clean. The waiting room and massage room were both inviting and made you get into relaxation mode just by the way they looked. Being familiar with how the whole thing goes I am always curious to see how the whole transaction goes from beginning to end since I've mostly had very good experiences but a few I care to forget. I was politely greeted the second I walked into the spa and within a minute or two brought back to the changing room and then the waiting area for my masseuse. I was getting a 50 minute Swedish massage. The person doing my massage was Colleen. From beginning to end she was awesome. She has a great personality for what she does, very professional and had a very throughout routine which nearly put me to sleep a few times throughout the massage! I plan on asking for her when I go back (because I will be going back). Also if you are looking for a great Esthetician for facials you will be hard pressed to find someone better than Ken also at the Red Door Spa in Woodbury. Give it a shot - I expect you will have similar results to mine and would be shocked if you didn't.
After repeatedly telling the hairdresser I wanted No chemicals in my hair, she proceeds to spray chemicals in my hair, then acts like she didn't hear me. All the employees seemed miserable and the management was patronizing.
I got a facial there about 1 week ago, the place was beautiful, I wish the staff was as good as the ambiance. My facialist, coulld barely speak english, she had the heaviest hands. not relaxing at all!!! Everything felt rushed, she was rough on my face, rough when she did my arm "massage" and she was steaming me with my glycolic on which burned. I would never go back, It was not relaxing at all. The whole time was geared to seling me products, which was all she was concerned about. Don't go here for a facial. She didn't know what she was doing. I felt like I was in a nail salon.
Disappointed! I visited the Red Door Spa hoping to get a great facial. The place is beautiful and clean. I enjoyed the relaxation room before my service, but that was about it. I expected the facial to be excellent, but was disappointed. The first 10 minutes were spent listening to the esthetician try to up-sell the facial to a $240 facial, which I did not want. Then she kept putting cold products on my face that burned. I thought for the cost of the services here, the staff should know what they are doing. I will not go back there for a facial.
I recently got a gift certificate for my birthday for a signature facial & I absolutely loved it! Out of all the facials I've had before, this one was the best -- the technician knew exactly what to do & I left feeling amazing. So amazing I bought my Mom one for Mother's Day :)
