OMG! I am writing this review as my poor 14 years old girl finally passed out on a couch after crying for 5 hours straight. She wanted balayage so bad so finally I gave up and we decided that she will get very subtle, appropriate for her age balayage highlights. She normally gets her haircut at a different salon but I wasn't sure how good they with coloring there. And so we went by somebody's recommendation. I brought my girl to Ruby Salon, it looked nice and neat. The woman Ruby (she said) took her right away, we looked at the color chart and decided on a very moderate light brown/caramelish color for her balayage. We explained her we wanted very subtle look,my daughter has long, dark brown hair naturally. I have a 2 years old girl that doesn't stay still for a minute , so I couldn't stay there(what a mistake!). Ruby told me it will take about 2 to 2,5 hours and I left. When I came back to pick my girl up I was in shock!! Ruby and the girl that does eyebrows were blowing my daughter's hair without even brushing it, just "after gym" kind of quick drying. But that wasn't the worst part, MY POOR CHILD WAS COVERED WITH BRIGHT RED HIGHLIGHTS, I MEAN LIPSTICK RED! The highlights themselves were uneven in length and width… I couldn't speak for a good minute, her entire back of shirt was covered with this color too! Anyway, they casually offered to "glase" it over. I took my crying girl and stormed out of there. I am taking her today to fix it at a different salon. I WOULDN'T GO TO RUBY SALON AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS LAST HAIR SALON ON EARTH!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FRON THIS PLACE!

Do Not go to a place of inexperienced indian girls, who do not know what they are doing. Still in training pads and messing up clients eyebrows. Beside that fact, I personally was rejected for a waxing service in the salon because I was not willing to pay more than what was promoted. They offer 20% off on waxing services and they want to change prices because ?????. Why? The girl who usually does my legs was not trying to do them because, I am hairy??? but wait to top it off they want to charge me more than the promotion they promote in store and online? thats no reason to reject me and not want to do your job. First of all, you shouldn't promote something and then change the price just because I am more hairy than others. That's false advertising and discrimination.

I used to work at a hair salon...so I am a total spoiled brat when it comes to Hair stylists. When I moved to Long island, I was really worried about finding someone/Salon who could give me a great short-hair cut. After some trail and error I found Tanveer at Ruby Salon,he is not only great with the scissors,he does great color as well. I have recommended him to plenty of my friends, and everyone has been thrilled with their hair and Color. Tanveer rocks!

I had a great haircut and Blowout from this awesome saloon. This place offers the best haircut and treatment which I loved a lot. They have talented staffs who know how to properly do stuffs. Their way of treating is unique and that works so perfectly. Their wonderful haircut made myself look so cool. The professionalism, responsiveness and experiences made this Saloon the best one which I would like to recommend to everyone . I have naturally very frizzy curly hair and with a recent short hair cut, I've been straightening it almost every day. Rather than fry my hair everyday, my mother suggested getting a Brazilian straightening. She found great reviews about Ruby Salon and so she made an appointment and today I had it done. It took a long time, about 3 hours, due to how much hair I have, but it was worth it! My hair is smooth, silky, shiny, and pin straight (it will gain volume back after first wash). The service was great; since it was a long process, they offered drinks and were very kind. The inside of the salon is very nice as well. After my hair was straightened he fixed my previous haircut, which I was a little terrified about at first because I never like how it turns out at other places, but for the first time in a long time I actually liked how it turned out, exactly how I wanted it, and it was only $20 for the hair cut! I also got my eyebrows threaded, which was also done beautifully in the way that they were shaped, but they're unfortunately thinner than I wanted, since I like my eyebrows relatively thick. That is the only "down side", which I put in quotations because they're so beautifully shaped it almost doesn't matter. However, I plan to go back to this salon for my hair cuts from now on! Highly highly recommend!
