I worked for this business for two months. It is a beautiful salon, but the owner does not care about her employees or customers at all. It's really sad that there are businesses like these where the people that own it are heartless and greedy. First of all, I went to nail school for months before I acquired this job and upon hire, I found that this place does not follow the rules and regulations mandated by the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology. I could go on for days about the horrible things that went on here, but the most disgusting thing that the owner pressed was that she did not want employees to run bleach and water through the pedicure basins after every client. It is a HUGE necessity to do this because there is massive amounts of sediment from sloughing away dead skin cells from a clients feet that gets ran through the jets of a basin. Ohio Board of Cosmetology is adamant about doing this and could result in hefty fines but Stephanie doesn't want to "waste" time and money on a gallon of bleach. So when another client comes in, you put the blue powder in the basin to make the water dark so they don't see the sediment from the last client. I mean, one can easily get a foot fungus from this...They don't clean their tools in between clients, AND they use the same buffer and file for days! Your supposed to THROW them away after each client. The employees there will speak in Vietnamese the whole time just talking about the customers and they racially profile people. They will rush through and do a bad job on the people that they believe will not tip them well. I remember specifically working on an African American woman and as soon as she went up to pay, they started laughing and saying they did a crappy job because they figured she wouldn't tip. Well, she walked back and gave ALL of us a $10 tip, which is rare for most people... One worker there angrily asks patrons "where her tip is" all the time. After I quit, Stephanie refused to give me my last paycheck and said that she didn't have to...Which was pretty upsetting because I was polite about it..other employees there said that she's done it to multiple people. Needless to say, there are other nail salons in Columbus that do just as good a job who are running their business the right way and if I were a patron, would not waste my time or money at this nail salon. It's pretty off-putting knowing that there are small businesses like these that do nothing but wreak havoc on unknowing individuals and will lazily cut corners to literally save a penny.
Me and my friend don't get our nails done very often so yesterday we treated ourselves to manicures at Luxe Nail Spa. It was the best experience we have ever had! The place was so nice inside, I felt like I was at a Kenneths or Charles Penzone. It was so big and was really well kept and clean. The owner was incredibly nice. They did a great job on both of our nails and we plan to go a little more often now!
Earlier today I went to Luxe Nail Spa for the first time. This was my first experience, but I can only describe the experience as wonderful! I went for a manicure and eyebrow waxing, and I am completely satisfied! Lien is a very nice, hardworking technician who will make sure that you are completely satisfied. The environment was very professional, clean, and welcoming, and I will certainly be coming back in the near future. Thank you!
I loved my experience. They were so friendly and they're prices are reasonable and you get quality service! They really took they're time with me.
I worked with Stephanie getting acrylic nails for the first time. She and the staff were extremely friendly. The service was great and I love my nails! I will absolutely be returning.
