V & V Nail Spa

Excellent and Clean Salon. I've been coming to this nail salon since 2006. Every time I know im going to be taken care of. They treat you with something to drink. And wait is never long. My favorite gals are Van & Kim. My mom as well only comes to this nail salon. Service is well worth your money. I had a friend that was never satisfied with any work done to her nails. I brought her to this salon and they made it perfect to the way she liked. Owners are super nice. I LOVE V&V.
I've been going here for almost 2 years. My girlfriend brought me here as a treat to get mani pedis. And now I bring all of my friends and family here as well. I love how I can walk in and almost immediately get seated. My husband, father and my father in law have been there with me as well. They've always been great, friendly and I've never been unhappy with my mani or pedis.
I have been going to this spa for 8 yrs (back when it was only half the size it is now) and they have always done a phenomenal job! I have recommended dozens of time and taken many friends there. Every time I go to any other salon I am never as happy.
Every time I go to this salon, I have a bad experience. I hate going here but it's convenient and the closest salon to where I live. I will NEVER return here again!!! Yesterday, I went in to get a manicure. I asked my nail tech, Tanna, how much the manicure would be. She told me $12. Ok. She then had a very difficult time removing the old shellac from my nails. It took over an hour of soaking in acetone and filing by hand and with the filing tool. The longer it took, the less friendly she was. She kept complaining how difficult it was to remove. When it was finally all off, she continued on to manicuring my cuticles and filing my nails. She did a horrible job filing my nails. They were crooked and different lengths. The nail beds weren't filed smooth, so I asked her if she could please fix these things. She huffed off and got another lady to come over to file my nails. This lady buffed the nail beds smooth, and attempted to file my nails straight and even, but apparently she needs glasses, because they were still crooked. I got frustrated and told her that I just wanted to pay and that I would fix my own nails at home. They then told me that my total was $17! I asked why, and was told it was because the shellac took so long to remove. I pointed out that this had not been mentioned when I had asked how much my manicure would be. Then all of the nail techs started speaking loudly in Vietnamese and it was rather embarrassing. One lady named Tracy came over and started yelling at me to pay $17 now! I asked her to calm down, she started speaking loudly in Vietnamese again and soon a lot of the other techs were all joined in with her and it was a crazy situation because I obviously could not understand what they were all saying and other customers in the salon started to stare at the scene Tracy was causing. I told Tracy that I would pay the $12 that I was told my manicure would cost and no more. The manicure was shoddy and unfinished. She finally yelled some more and said fine, pay $12. I gave the lady my debit card. I was then charged $12.50. Apparently there is a .50 fee to use a debit card. They did not tell my this prior to charging my card. After I had paid, I walked over to where Tracy was and told her that I did not appreciate being treated so rudely. She started yelling at me again in mixed English/Vietnamese. I couldn't believe how this lady acted! It was incredibly embarrassing and I felt helpless. How sad is it to get nickel-and-dimed and then yelled at? This salon is horrible. They are so rude and a bunch of the techs will start talking loudly in Vietnames and let you know with their eyes that they are laughing and talking about you. It's ridiculous because these women who work here are impossible to reason with or speak to in a civilized manner if there is an issue. They just fly off the handle and start yelling and gesticulating wildly with their hands and arms. I will never go here again. Beware of rudeness and shoddy work at this salon.
I have been here before, but it was about a year ago. I had a nice experience before, so I thought I would go back with my cousin who was in town. Boy was I wrong... First, I was yelled at from across the salon to see what I wanted. I told them we just wanted manicures. For the typical 30 minute manicure, we were rushed through it in about 10-15 minutes with little care done to our nails, with a lot of polish left on our skin. We were also forced to pay for the tools that were used (buffer and nail file) on us...I have NEVER seen that before. For a cheap place, you get what you pay for...
