Went to the new location in Linglestown yesterday. I've been getting my nails done for 15 years and this was by far the worst experience I ever had. Not only do my nails look terrible, he ended up charging me a $7 tip....after I specificaly told him $5....and did all this through a gift card because they don't accept a tip on cards or checks. I asked for my nails to be shorter 3 times and he never made them shorter. Never going back and discouraging others from going as well.
I tried this location and their new location by the Giant on Linglestown Road and hated both. I don't understand how they have enough clientele to open a second location. The only reason I tolerated it this time is because everything was 30% off. I got a full set (gel) and my nails are so messed up I don't think I can wait until they grow out enough to go get them redone some where else. My nails aren't straight! I could have done a better job myself with a Sally Hansen kit! They didn't even clean off my fingers afterwards where the excess powder had dried. Terrible service and I will never go back and highly caution any one to go to either location.
Went to get my nails done at LA Nails yesterday (09/08/13) and when I showed up it was 4:45pm. When I walked in the one gentleman was sitting in the pedicure chair. I walked up to the counter and was beginning to check-in when he looked at me and said "Sorry we are closed." He said we close at 5. I understand that it was 15 minutes until closing, however I felt that he was just shooing me away. I then left the mall and went down the street to another nail salon who also closed at 5 (I walked in at 4:50). They took me!! I will be going to this other nail salon from now on.
I had a mani-pedi and brow wax that were very good. However, I will never go back again. During my pedicure, one of the staff arrived and was obviously the "class clown". She was loud, shouting to everyone in the place in a language I couldn't understand, and laughing so loud it hurt my ears. And to make things worse, her manicure table was connected to the table I was at. She had her iphone playing loud music, laughing and shouting with all the other staff as they walked by, and at one point there were 5 of them standing 2 feet from me, laughing, shouting, pushing each other, playing with their phones. It was rude, and the farthest thing from relaxing. I almost left in the middle of my manicure because I was getting a headache from all the noise. Never again.
Worst french manicure gel tips I've ever had!! The girl who did them left chunks of dried crap all over my fingers. Overall they're uneven, bubbles everywhere and fat and fake looking. I now totally remember why I stopped coming to this place.... sucks!!! Beauty Nails on Simpson Ferry Road does such a nice job. Well worth the extra couple dollars.
