Last month I made an appointment at Regis to get my hair "professionally" done for my wedding, which costs $50. I had just gotten my hair cut a foot, leaving it at a shoulder length. When she (Karen Calhoun) first greeting me she remarked, "I don't even think I can do anything with this, you better tell me what you want." before I even had a chance to hand her the picture I brought of the style I had in mind. And the entire time she kept saying, "This is not giving me anything to work with." Also making rude comments about my hair such as, "If you had highlights, this would look better." She was done shortly after putting no effort into the hairstyle, then blaming my hair as the cause and insulting it when I had asked her to put some curls in it. Not one moment was she professional, she just kept looking at her phone every two minutes. This gave me the impression that she did not care about making me look good for my groom on my wedding day, she only cared about herself and getting me out the door. I paid the fee, but ran out of the mall in tears. I went to a hairdresser down the street, still in tears, and they put me first in line, calmed me down, and gave me a hairstyle that everyone loved. It ended up being a happy ending on my wedding day, but felt as if all of this was unnecessary and could have been avoided if I had not scheduled Karen Calhoun at Regis that day. I only cried because at the time it made me feel as if I was not worth the effort. The feeling of worthlessness is one of the last things you want to feel on your wedding day.
