Alera Salon & Spa
Reviews
I phoned Alera Salon & Spa for a hair appointment when my appointment elsewhere cancelled at the last minute. The staff was very friendly, and my cut was wonderful. Joelle cut my hair to the specification of the photo I showed her. She also waxed my eyebrows -- not too thin. I was very pleased with my experience. II may consider switching to Alera for future cuts and colour.
I have tried this salon twice because it's convenient..I got a very expensive manicure that looked like a 5 year old painted my nails.. I got a terrible haircut that I had fixed within a week at another salon..the other stylist was able to list 6 things wrong with my haircut. Not overly friendly either I believe that you get what you pay for and have no problem paying more for great service. However I got very inexperienced staff who didn't know what they were doing yet I feel like I was charged more than the other high end places I go to. The manicure was 30 and the cut was 55. Both of which I had redone within a week.
I went to Alera Salon with a bridal party to get my hair done for a wedding. My hair looked NOTHING like I asked her to do (I even brought a picture) and it was $60! Just for her to curl my hair! She was also not overly friendly. I would not suggest this place to get your hair done, maybe people have better luck with the spa side of the place!
