I recently bought a Groupon for a Keratin Treatment at FYAC. When I visited the school I was greeted in a friendly manner. The facility was light and bright and had the atmosphere of a professional salon. The owner, Cheri, worked with the students in all services to see that they were performed correctly. The student who did my Keratin Treatment was very personable and meticulous about her work. My hair looks great, and the price was right. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
I purchased two Living Social certificates last fall - one for me, one for my out-of-state daughter and we scheduled our facials for this afternoon. We both enjoyed our experience - the staff did a great job, we were relaxed and left with our skin feeling terrific after an hour treatment! want to purchase a Groupon as a gift for a friend and maybe even one for my husband! I think he'll love it!.

In response to the person who said you have to be understanding of the students, I was and I still give them 1 star (would give zero if I could). I spent over 2 hours getting a 'spa' mani pedi that I immediately took off when I got home. The student left 3-4 times to find basic supplies like cotton balls and hand cream and ended up using her own personal products out of her bag b/c she couldn't find anything and there was no supervisor around. My spa pedi was sitting in a folding chair with my feet in a plastic bucket of soapy water. I don't blame the student - I blame the establishment for ZERO supervision, poor customer service, and not having the necessary supplies for their students to perform the basic services.
I, too bought a groupon certificate. In fact I have three. Two mani/pedis and a facial. After a constant back and forth over whether or not they have evening or Saturday hours, I bought the Groupon when they confirmed they have eves on Thursdays. I made an appointment in March for today at 5:30. They called me TODAY at 2:30 to tell me "When you scheduled we had evening hours, and now we do not. You will need to reschedule" I could not believe how unprovessional and discourteous this late notice was. When I returned the call the owner said she had "numerous" businesses and needed to know which one was the complaint about. Obviously she must get complaints on all of her businesses. In any case, when I explained to her how very inconvient it was to have been cancelled on at the last minute. She gave me every excuse in the book. I simple I am so very sorry let me show you that we value your business...would have sufficed, but nope all she wanted to do was provide excuses. I said sorry, you will never regain my business AND I will report you to Groupon as a improper business value. Too bad I couldn't give this No stars, because if I could I would.
