I have been going to New Nails for just over one year. I always ask for Ruby, who does a nice neat pedicure. However, the past couple of times I've been there I've told myself to find a new place. They advertise that they offer complimentary drinks (water, soda or wine) but they only offer water WHEN they offer anything. I have to ask if I want something else. The last time I was there the owner was wearing a sad face during the entire visit, and was completely non conversational until I asked her if she was tired. She told me that she was tired, and then went into an unprofessional tyraid about how many hours they (she and her husband) put in there, yet never make a paycheck. She said she has given herself to that salon for two years but has never made a paycheck. I wanted to ask her if she lives in a house or drives a car or eats or wears clothes. The answer to those questions of course is "yes". Guess what Lady ... we all have to pay for those things ... so technically, you DO draw a paycheck. I would never worry my customers with my "poor pitiful me" stories if I wanted to build a loyal clientele. So, I'm looking for a new nail salon ... any suggestions?
