Heavenly Unique Nail Salon and Spa
Reviews
I hadn't been here in a while due to all the construction on DeZavala but I am glad I went back. Yes it costs "slightly" more (not much) than some of the other nail salons in the area, but you pay for what you get. The nice thing about Heavenly Unique is there is no TV blaring some fuzzy cable channel, there's relaxing music, really nice decor and an English speaking hostess which is very helpful (yes that matters). Some of the staff looked as though they would rather be doing something else, but I can't really blame them. If I had to deal with feet all day I would probably be looking sad too. If I had a criticism I would say the wash basin is too far away from the manicure area (needs a sign) when you're trying to walk in the flimsy foam foot covers (there ought to be a way to wash hands at the stations, with a warm cloth or something similar) ... but other than that, it's ten steps above any nail salon in the area. The staff also need an area to wait when they're not busy. They use plastic liners in the Pedicure basins and sterile packaged tools (worth the price of admission). Very rare in this area. Sonia did an EXCELLENT pedicure with a massage and took the time. Well worth the extra few dollars.
Great afternoon! Its probably pretty unusual for a male to review a nail salon but I actually really enjoyed myself. My girlfriend brought me here for my first time and we each enjoyed a glass of wine in a relaxing environment. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Gabbi really stood out and was professional. I will be happy to visit again. Theres something here for everyone.
Coming from a picky customer, I love this place for a few reasons. The staff at Heavenly Unique Nails is very professional and friendly! They take their time and do quality work! They take extra steps to sanitize and clean their equipment. It is a little out of the way for me, but well worth the trip.
This place USED to be amazing! Been going here two years. Kenny used to do my nails & he always did a wonderful job. However the last 6 months or so its become a nightmare to visit. The price of my full set varies EVERY time I go. Amy takes 2 hours to put on a set. Linda is still awesome though! I brought a friend with me & they charged her the price of a NEW set for just a fill. The receptionist is friendly but has no clue what she's doing. Place has really gone down hill.
I've been going to this place for about a year now. Until I had a mani pedi done for my 19th birthday. I asked for a classic manicure $18 and a signature pedicure which is $35 plus $5 for french. The Pedicure was awesome, it was relaxing. The manicure was okay, I usually don't get manicures often. When I was done the man who did both my mani and pedi told me my total was $85. I was really confused, the man told me it was because i told him i wanted "sheek" whatever that is. I never agreed to anything. So for them to rip me off on my birthday, is really disappointing. I finally got a $30 refund back. Will not be going back.
