LOVE. I worked for Kate (the owner) a few years ago at Botega so I may be a little biased haha, but the talent that comes out of this salon is remarkable. Kate is always taking classes to keep her staff learning and motivated and is constantly looking for ways to enhance your experience at the salon in a unique and memorable way. Everyone is always upbeat and fun. Good music. Nice vibes. Love that she usually has artwork up for sale in the salon too! There are alot of hair salons in Banff but go see Kate! You will be in good hands...x
I've been a loyal customer of Botega since Kate Mahoney the owner took over 3 years ago. The Stylists are excellent and I appreciate the fact they are always taking courses, going in competitions, and travelling to classes which keep them at the cutting edge of their artistic profession. I rely on the girls at Botega for any my hair and make-up needs and the outcome is always fantastic. I recommend this salon to all my family & friends, in fact my sister who lives 2 hours away books her hair appointment with Botega every time she visits Banff.
I thought aveda color was supposed to be good?! Maybe it was the stylist but she turned my highlites grey. I asked for an ash color and thats not how it ended up! I didn't have the heart to say anything at the time but i can't stand it!!!! Now i need to find a salon to fix it. I hope btown can do something with it!! never again!
I love going to Botega hair salon not only for the amazing service I get but because I love the atmosphere. All the stylists are well trained and very talented. I send all my friends to Botega because it is the best Salon.
It was a the biggest day of my life. My now-husband and I planned to be married in Banff. Every bride wants to look her best and we called numerous salons in town, however this is the only one who promised to be open on Sundays, as this was the day we chose to say our I-Do's. As the day grew near, my bridesmaids, who checked and double-checked that Sundays were regular days of operation, found that with all the travel and hassle, they would reluctantly cancel their appointments and do their own hair. I, being the Bride, maintained my appointment for both hair and makeup, and also double-checked their schedule. Finally, two hours before the ceremony, I walked to the salon with my best friend and two photographers in tow, ready to be beautified, only to find the door locked, the lights off, and the salon empty. It was CLOSED! I was getting married that day and the place I was to become a beautiful bride was CLOSED! Furious and exasperated I phoned the number, the same number I had phoned only days earlier to confirm, only to have a voicemail message pick up on the other end. I dared not cry, so I left a short message, and accepted the fact that I would have to look mediocre on my Wedding Day and do my own hair and makeup. Two days (yes TWO DAYS) later I received a voicemail message from the salon saying that they had a "major overhaul on their booking system so my appointment was missed, and we are sorry." Thank GOD Cascade Salon was open on a Sunday because he made my hair beautiful, and I felt the way every Bride deserves to feel on her special day. So how do I rate Botega? VERY poor, VERY thoughtless, VERY irresponsible, and no "credit", or whatever was offered to me, can change that.
