Serendipity Salon & Spa

If you're looking for professional services without all the pompous pretentious stuff that can feel uncomfortable, this is the place. I've been coming here for the last 8 years and right from the first time I gave them a shot I felt like I was at home here! Always great interaction between the clients and the staff and you can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride in her Salon. Doesn't matter if it's nails, hair, waxing, whatever...I have always been very well taken care of and I can say this: Having had my hair, make up and nails done at The Grand in Vegas, I paid twice as much there for the same amazing quality work here. I've found the best, and quite frankly I'm appalled at the few that had negative things to say. I suppose if it was the truth they would have attached their own real name? Keep up the great work ladies! Cya soon!
I love this salon. I leave with excellent results everytime. I have known Holly, Christina, Abby and Leslie for 3 years and wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Keep up the good work girls, and thank you. :)
Totally awesome experience! They do great work from their hearts!
I hired them to do hair for my wedding party and they charged me $100 more than I was quoted. They rushed and 2 of my bridesmaids hair styles fell out an hour after they were done and had to be completely redone. On top of this the hairdresser left with an brand new bottle of my expensive hairspray! When I contacted them about the hairspray I never received a call back. I went in to speak to the owner about my complaints afterwards and have still not been contacted. Very poor customer service! I would not recommend this place to anyone for an important event!
I got married in august 2010. in may of 2010 i went into serendipity with my fiance [now husband] to book hair, makeup and nails for myself, my two bridesmaids, my flower girl and my mom. the nails were to be a few days before the wedding and the hair and make up was to be the morning of. the reason i booked with serendipity is that they advertised that they would come to you and i thought it would make it easier to have them come to my moms house where we were getting ready. when i booked all of this i saw the girl write it in their appointment book. the owner holly was too busy to discuss all the details. as we lived outside of kamloops i told her that the next time we would be back in was that sunday, she said since we lived outside of town she would come in even though they were closed so we could discuss everything, she gave me her cell number to call when we got to kamloops. i called all day and left messages and she never answered or returned my calls. over the next few months i called many times but was always told by the girl answering the phone that holly dealt with all the wedding stuff but she was never there when i would phone and never called me back. i know at this point that i should have booked somehwere else but i didnt. finally three days before the wedding my mom called to confirm what she wanted done with her hair and the girl on the phone said there was no wedding booked for that weekend. i phoned them in a panic and was actually able to speak to holly, unfortunatly she said she was busy but would call me back in fifteen minutes. after waiting an hour and a half i called another salon and was able to get last minute appointments for my whole wedding party and thank goodness for that. holly did not call me back until the day before my wedding, two days after she was supposed to. i did not even bother to answer the phone but all her message said was that she knew i wanted to discuss "some wedding" and that she knew that it took her longer then she said to call me back. no apology or even an explanation for why my wedding was not booked with them any longer. i will never ever go to that salon. planning a wedding is stressful enough on it's own and getting that kind of treatment from a place that is supposed to perform spa services designed to relax you is terrible.
