I Have Been tanning for about 3 years now and have tried most places in nanaimo. I went to Body Fx tanning and waxing studio. Not only do they have the best tanning beds in town but there staff is so welcoming and show you all around and make you feel comfortable. They also Have a versa spa spray tan, Which is amazing because its a booth that sprays you and you don't have to stand in-front of someone while they tan you. I will recommend everyone that tans or gets waxing done to give it a try just to see how great they really are!

After having visited multiple tanning salons around Nanaimo, I've found that Body FX is definitely the creme de la creme! The staff are friendly and knowledgable, I always drop-in and have only ever had to wait once for a bed, the salon itself looks great (high ceilings, everything is very clean), and the beds are fantastic. I use the "Ultra Bed" and there are little fans built into it, as well as a timer (so you can see how many minutes are left until it shuts off). The monthly specials are great, too (especially for a student on a budget!). Great location for VIU students; I usually drop by for a tan as I'm leaving VIU and heading home. Best tanning salon ever!

i LOVE this tanning salon, ive used the versa spray tan system about 3 times and being a red head its hard for me to tan but this system was GREAT!!! ive been spray tanned before and nothing compares to this one. also the tanning beds and top of the line no chicken wire mesh cage in the stand up like others just a smooth finish. MY favortie is the super max lay down with a max time of 12 mins you just whip in and whip out and you can achieve that beautiful tan in no time at all!! everyone should go down there and check it out the staff is super nice and accomodating they are so good in making sure you dont burn which is helpful :) check it out
