First time visiting this Salon and I must say I was very impressed. I booked this Salon based on other positive reviews, and I can only add my very positive experience to the list. Coffee, or tea upon arrival. I had the coffee and it was a nice perk on a rainy day. I received what might be my best haircut in a decade, thanks to Amanda and her passion for styling. She used her creativity and youthful knowledge of todays fashion to go a little outside of the 'traditional' box to deliver a great haircut far superior to many many other haircuts i've had in years past. Everyone else in this salon seemed pleasant and very capable. Set and setting were perfect, with a little shop dog (Lando, so cute) running around and even on my lap during a great post-cut shampoo and head massage. Can't say enough good things. Went to Kryssie at Kiyo Salon for Body Sugaring (Brazilian). My first time there and she was super pleasant and friendly, I was made to feel comfortable instantly. The spa area is set up really nicely and the individual rooms are cozy. She was very professional and I was AMAZED at how fast she was! I think she finished my sugaring in 10 minutes! There was enough time left over for full legs which she was super quick at too. Waxing sucks and it's near impossible to find a place that does Sugaring between Qualicum and Nanaimo. I would HIGHLY recommend Kryssie! Fast yet efficient and super friendly and professional. Will definately be going back!

Was just visiting Nanaimo and decided to treat my mom & I to a facial this weekend. We booked & went to Kiyo Salon in Nanaimo and were very pleased with the welcome reception and the level of expertise, quality products and truly attentive spa treatment exectution by both of the girls that worked on us. My girl was Nikki & my mom had a Croatian woman that she was super pleased with. Our treatment was just over 2 hrs long and was reasonably priced at $139 each. I've had a lot of spa treatments and this one was well worth it. Only thing you should request is that folks waiting keep their voices low b/c the laughing & chats you could overhear during the treatment was the only negative.

It was a nice time. If you like to pamper yourself. Not as amazing as Tyna-Mara but ok.
