People have to remember that it is difficult to run a business, sometimes it is trial and error. Zilla is a business woman and will try and sell her products. In the end it is all about the products she uses as well as her ability to give you what you want. I have never been disappointed with her products or her ability to style and cut my hair. She loves to please her customers and goes out of her way to do so. It is easy to judge other people without never having to walk in their shoes. Zilla you are awesome and know there are people out here who appreciate you and the job you do.

My boyfriend and I went to Basic and Beyond on Christmas Eve day. I booked the appointment last minute and had to reschedule for a later time and Zillay was VERY sweet about it all. My boyfriend got his hair done. She asked questions about his preferences to ensure he was happy with her services, but to be honest he had no idea and neither did I. He had some guided judgement on what he wanted but the rest was her magic. It was the best haircut I have seen on him in over a year and he gets a cut every 6 weeks... Next was me, I have had some horror stories with my hair over the years. So with this being said I was nervous but also didn't know what I wanted except; layers and dead ends off. She did precisely that and then some. The conversation kept flowing an she made us both very comfortable and explained everything which helped us with conformability with trusting someone with our hair. I had paid over $70.00 for my last cut and it was so uneven. She fixed it all up and made it look FANTASTIC! The price for the two of us to get our hair cut shocked us! Typically the amount for the two of us would of just been for me! Very reasonable pricing! My boyfriend and I had so many compliments that two days from then I decided to come back to get the colouring we had discussed the time before. I booked it the day before and went in at 1 and didn't leave until 4. With 4 hours of chatting you get to know someone pretty well and I must say Zillay is a very talented and kind woman. The conversation never stopped. She took a a lot I time to help pick the right colour and to talk about what I wanted, right down to the nitty gritty of every detail I desired. I wanted highlights so I can gradually go lighter. I got that EXACTLY! They look amazing! I love everything about my hair and so does my boyfriend! I will certainly be returning! I have recommended her to everyone who has commented. I would recommend Basic and Beyond to anyone. Thanks Zillay! (:

My wife bought a Groupon for this business thinking it was a respectable well established place. The website seemed well done and gave off the same impression. This was definitely NOT the case. The website says, 'we'; there is no 'we', there is one woman. One woman who sold many groupons and lines up customers back to back and does not have time to blow dry hair and if you insist, she calls her husband or kids down to help her finish the job. She charged my wife extra on top of the groupon for services that should have been included and she tries very hard to get you to do extra to your hair to charge you more. My wife was not happy with the job done to her hair and I would strongly advise against anyone purchasing this salon's services.

I recently had Roots, highlights and hair cut. I found both Zillay and her husband very professional, polite and helpful when it came to helping me decide what would look best on me. I love my new look and so does my family and friends.. I am very satisfied and I will be returning there again. I will not hesitate to recommend others to go to Basic and Beyond Hair Salon. I went in to get a cut and color. She constantly tried to sell me extra's, such as deep conditioning treatment for $10 more. The color job was not good, as she got it all over my forehead and ears. Finally, when it was time to pay, she decided to tell me that there was a "10 dollar long hair fee" for her services. I guess since I didnt buy any of the extras she decided to make up an extra charge on the spot. I think its safe to say that I will not be returning!
