Tromblay Salon
Reviews
I visited Tromblay after reading several positive Yelp reviews, and have been back several times since then. I'll admit that I only need simple things done for my hair, a cut and style, so I suppose I cannot judge on more complex techniques, but I've enjoyed my stylists (I've seen three, all mature, friendly, and professional), their quick service (always ready for me at my appointed time), and their price structure (I LOVE not tipping, since I'm never really certain how I like my style until the next day). I'm happy I've found a place I like so well that is so convenient to downtown and so friendly. I've never had enough time to properly explore their front waiting area, but they seem to support several local artists' jewelry and handicrafts work.
If you want to be treated like a Queen, and have a special look, created just for you, this is the place to go. Cutting edge looks, created in a salon that is stylish and friendly; this is THE PLACE to go! They are attentive, and actually listen to what you would like. They have suggestions if you are unsure, and offer many services in addition to cut and color. The boutique is also filled with one of a kind looks ~ a true specialty shop, and a truly unique experience.
To get a good hair cut, or good manicure..one must have a stylist who chooses the #EdgeYouDeserve. Albert routinely uses our services. Thank you Albert..and be careful with those edges!
Shockingly terrible customer service. Referred a friend to this place, and she ended up spending a huge chunk of change on a haircut & dye job that she was mortified with. They insisted they could do what she asked. But, her hair wound up over-processed and brittle (bleach left on for two hours), the overall color being wrong, and the haircut was on an unintentional diagonal and literally 1 inch longer one side than the other. It wasn't interesting, or edgy, or unique - it was straight-up wrong. When she went back to discuss it with them, she was rudely and pompously turned away, as though their blatant mistakes were somehow justified and they knew better. A bad experience at the hairdresser is traumatizing, and even more so when treated that way. I will suggest them no more.
The stylist cut my bangs the wrong way but the rest of my hair looks fabulous! Plus you get a nice head/neck massage too.
