I have been going to Nails on 8th for many years, and today I drive out of my way to get my nails done here! They always provide great service, have very friendly staff, a clean environment and a great sized space. My whole bridal party and I had our mani/pedis done here before my wedding last summer and everyone was very happy!
My mom, sister and I have gone to Nails on 8th, now Mainstreet Nails, for years. We're always happy with the results and are always treated well. I recommend making an appointment since they do get busy, and be patient! Mai, Sally, and the whole staff are great.
I think it was the manager at Nails on 8th who did my nails; she was seated next to the register and cheerfully greeted everyone who came through the doors, inquiring as to their vacations, their kids, etc. I thought, "what a great and personable salon!" \] Startlingly bad work. The woman rarely even glanced at my nails, she just kept up a line of chat with everybody in the salon but me. By the time she was finished, I felt like my hands had taken a beating. She just went whack whack whack as she filed. Then she loaded so much acrylic on for my fill, honest to God, it was a quarter inch thick. Totally insane. The worst service ever. I'll never go back.
I just had a pedicure done here for the first time and had a very good experience. My toenails still look great over a week later and have not chipped, and I found the salon to be clean and comfortable. The staff were respectful and friendly. I would recommend it to a friend.
I had not been to Nails on 8th for several years but returned over the weekend for a manicure. I am very disappointed and looking at my nails now it is hard to believe that I paid $20 for a manicure- it looks like I chewed off my nails and cuticles instead of receiving a professional manicure. The woman did not trim up my cuticles well and they looked far worse than when I walked in and have been peeling off since my manicure. She did not ask how I wanted my nails cut and they are very short and not attractive looking. I was disappointed to see that Nails on 8th seems to have gone downhill since I used to frequent the shop several years ago. With so many other options in the area, I will not go back again until I hear that they've cleaned up their act.
