I was visiting from Toronto Canada. Went to get Shellac done. They over cut my cuticle and cut me. The service was ok. I tipped her $5. Total was $40 for a French shellac. Not even a Thank You. The place is dirty. Never going there again.
The atmosphere is very nice and refreshing. However, their service is a monstrosity. The moment I sat in the pedicure chair, I told the pedicurist how I wanted my pedicure. She nodded and continued. When the pedicure wasn't looking the way I asked, she waved me off and continued humming her song and nodded. Thinking she would fix it later, I said nothing else. Then she asked for my polish with my pedicure looking like something I had done as a last minute fix for a last minute outing -cuticles left uncut and a foot scrub that felt like a five-year-old had done it. Again, I mentioned my concerns and she hummed louder and threw down the cotton balls in some sort of passive-aggressive rage. Horrible experience. Then, had the nerve to ask me for a tip. That is the tackiest part of the experience at this place. The receptionist ASKS for the tip. "Would you like to make it even? How about $30?" she asked one woman. I could hear the reluctance in her stuttering voice because she probably felt that the tip was unwarranted and unearned. Of course no one would bare the embarrassment of saying, "No. That's too much of a tip." Pressuring a patron to leave a tip is sleazy and unprofessional. When she asked, I simply said. "No. I want to pay $25." I would NEVER go back to this place again.
