Alluring Designs Salon
Reviews
I love this salon and everyone working there is extremely professional. When I moved to the Pittsburgh area 5 years ago, I came from Orlando where I had the same stylist for 17 years. It was very hard to find someone, until I researched salons that used L’Oreal products. I love Alluring Designs’ Color Bar and salon set-up. Molly is an amazing stylist and continues to evolve in her field by pursuing her education through seminars and training classes. I think this is an extremely important trait when selecting a stylist because just like everything, techniques and color treatments are a trend today and gone tomorrow. Not only do I trust her whole heartedly but rely on her opinion when wanting to try a new look. She is honest, kind, talented and very trustworthy. I’m moving out of state and I’m greatly going to miss this salon and the reliable relationship I had with Molly! Thanks for a great 5 years!!!
Only positive things to say about this salon. Great atmosphere, theres always a buzz when you go inside, nice and lively. Also, all the girls are great for a haircut, I trust any of them!
I've been going to this salon for a couple of years now and have always been happy with the service until now. Today was the worst salon experience and some of the rudest treatment I've ever had in an establishment. The work was sloppy at best and when I asked if the nail technician could just remove the nail polish from my SKIN and fix the one nail that looked like a triangle she got angry and said she " would have to start all over again." It wasn't what she said it was how she said it. Rudely. You could tell she wasn't happy with me. Apparently, at alluring their policy is if the they get nail polish all over your fingers you clean it up at home your self. But, I digress it actually started before this. They started doing my hair and nails at the same time at the nail station. Which I found to be uncomfortable because of a previous auto accident. The other girls have always given me little rest periods while doing my hair because it takes three hours and let me sit at an angle because of my back. I can't sit for long periods without back support and certainly not with my arms extended. When I told them this and said I wanted to move to higher back chairs and do one at at a time they just gave me a pillow for my back but wouldn't stop... Basically they were in a hurry and refused to stop. I also asked for them to cut down my nails which they didn't do and asked for partial highlights and was given full highlights. The best part was when I asked about the highlights being full or partial then after the women basically snapped at me about my nails I heard snickering behind my back from girl handing Lindsay the papers my highlights. It was more than obvious that they were sharing eye rolls and treating me like an obnoxious difficult customer. Which maybe I seemed like to them, but I was merely asking for a little consideration. When I spoke to the owner Tracy she seemed nice, but she was definitely defensive. She assured me her girls would never do something like that. They were professional. What I didn't say is that while her two leopard print dressed girls were discussing while doing my hair... Yes, how professional at alluring salon. I was treated rudely charged 120 dollars for it... Didn't even stay for the haircut. I would give a negative score if I could.
This salon has only improved in service and quality. An excellent core staff makes this a great salon. I have been getting my hair cut here since they opened this location and will continue to do so. Give it a try, you'll enjoy the experience.
