Jae did my hair on wednesday and it's PERFECT! My highlights are just the right shade of blonde and and my haircut is everything I wanted it to be!!!! He is very attentive and always checks on me while I am processing to be sure my hair color turns out just right every time. I will continue going back time and time again! Thanks Jae!!!!!
For my first visit back in Jan it was ok, they didn't cut my hair exactly as I has asked but it was not a bad trim for my long hair. This time I made an appointment over a week in advance and explained that I would be making a hair donation and needed a cut and style. When I came in for that apt it seemed ok at first. They offered me a drink and I had a place to wait. No mention of other running behind or anything like that. There seemed to be 3 ladies with other customers, not near being done. But I waited anyway. 15 mins after my apt time one of the ladies peaked her head around to me, gave me a weird look but said nothing still. I waited for another 10 mins (now 25 mins after my apt time) so one had said a work still and I got up to walk out. I had somewhere else to go and would no longer have time to wait. I tried to tell the person at the front but he looked at me, said nothing and kept talking on the phone. So I left, no one ever called or asked why I left the place without being seen. I wont ever go back here again.
Love the stylist, Chris. She is the BEST!!!! She cuts my hair the way I want. Highly recommend Chris for your haircut. She has wonderful personality!!!
Reviews led me to Josephine's Day Spa. My visit took place on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 6:30 pm. Their online appointment scheduling was used with ease with helpful appointment reminders via Email and/or Text. I booked Fresh Talent Hair Stylist Alexis for $50.00. When you walk into the establishment, you immediately notice the cleanliness and nice modern decor. Complimentary Cucumber Infused Water and Glass of red or white wine is offered as soon as you walk in. Personally, I like wine, chose white variety and it was a nice semi-sweet of some sorts. I should have asked its name. A few minutes later, I was graced with my Shampoo-ist named Linda. First, Linda offered for me to experience their Peppermint/Chamomile essential oil. A couple drops are placed onto one palm, rub together, and take deep whiffs at your leisure. In the beginning, it sounded silly, but now I am looking for this combination in retail stores because I liked it so much. Their scalp massage was soothing in conjunction with the hot towel on the head and soon followed the hand massage. The hand massage could have been improved by hitting the pressure points longer. I would have liked more time on the hands than on my scalp as I use my hands a lot for my line of work. It had been a solid year plus since my last haircut so my tresses were in need of tender, loving, and care. I read several positive reviews on Alexis and is why I specifically chose her. I am very satisfied with my decision. She knew how uneasy I felt about getting a haircut and she used her down-to-earth attitude along with a play-by-play to keep me calm and collect. I told my fiance about my experience and determined where who my go-to person is from this point on! Thank you Josephine's, Linda, and Alexis!
Just had my hair highlighted by Jay - he is so awesome. I have long curly hair and after a review of my hair needs he went straight to work. He's professional and does an amazing job. He certainly knows how to make a gal look good. I am so happy to have found this spa and usually go to Aveda salons and Jay has got to be the best I've had in my 12 years of being sworn to Aveda products/salons. This is the first time I have raved about a cosmetologist/hair professional- he is THAT good. edit: Since first writing this review a year ago I have continued to see Jay and his results are consistently awesome. I have to drive a bit to go to this location, but it is well worth it.
