I've been going to Ms. Young since 2010. Young's Salon is a clean and personable place to go to get a haircut. Ms. Young did a very good job in converting a residential home into a business. There is parking on the side street with easy access to the entrance. I heard her talking to a contractor about putting in a ramp for wheelchair access, she goes way beyond to accommodate everyone. The lawn is always manicured and she plants flowers every year. She is the only stylist working, but she is searching for someone to work at the other chair. Ms. Young is always thinking of her customers, so she is very selective of whom is going to rent that chair. She is flexible for walk-ins, but it's best to call for an appointment. My hair is very difficult to cut the way I want it. It's thick and curly. But Ms. Young gets it right EVERYTIME!! She also takes notice for hair growth on the edges of my ears and asks me if I want my eyebrows trim. She washes, dries my hair and always asks if I want any hair product. I hate it when stylist just apply it without asking. I wear hats often and the hair gel stains them. She is very personable and remembers what I talk about. Always asking how my job is or school. I can't really say enough about this place or Ms. Young. You really have to at least try it out. I think she is one of the few stylist out there, that takes her time, does what you ask, offers recommendations and is just an awesome woman.
