Sashelvis Hair Salon

I thought I would try this place out and see if I found a hair home. WRONG. I went there for a touch up and color. I picked the color at the beginning of the service but the stylist forgot what I chose. Instead of asking, she chose a different color. I asked for a dark brown she gave me a dark red. ( I guess to some people red and brown are similar) I was not inpressed with the service, the stylist or the experience. Plus it cost me $125.00. Too much. They was like next time you come in we will give you a discount.....yeah right. Never again.
I like the salon. I'm in and out usually within 2 hours, which is expected. They do a good job every time. If you looking for a more luxury experience, this isn't the place for you but the price is good and they do exactly what I want. I'm satisfied :)
I have been going here since they first opened and I love it. My hair is much healthier than it has ever been and I attribute it all to going to Sashelvis on a regular basis. The blow drying process I have gotten used to. Yes it is hot. Has anyone ever tried asking the stylist to turn the heat down? I do all the time and they comply every time with no problem. I have a VERY comfortable experience each time I go. I love that I am in and out of the salon within an hour and 15 minutes max.. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone and everyone!
This salon is expensive. $90 for a touch-up AND the stylist burned my scalp in multiple areas. Got to the dominican salons in Laurel. A touch-up costs $65 there and they don't burn your scalp. At Sulvia's you can get a wash and set for $25 M-TH.
Finally a place where I can go and get my hair done right. Language barrier is not a problem for me, this is defitnetly not a hair cuttery type of place. For me the problem with other kinds of salon they do not know how to handle ethnic hair. I dont want to sound disrespectful but all the regular salon in this area are only good for caucasian girls hair, and often get it wrong when I say wash and set. I'm very excited to have this in town.
