They do not know how to care for your hair. I washed and deep conditioned my natural hair before getting my hair braided. They complained my hair was too thick and wanted to use the blow dryer and a comb to straighten. They use jam and grease to braid the hair. She tried to talk me into allowing her to braid my hair tight. I had to explain to her that when the hair is braided tight it is unhealthy and can potentially fall out. Why did I have to explain this!! I made an appointment with the owner and she was 1 hour late. She quoted me a price, charged me more. When I confronted her she had amnesia. The place is very dirty and the braiders are rude. The only good thing from this experience is a nice hairdo. However, There are plenty of salons that will care for and braid your hair well. I will NOT be returning and I do not recommend
Wish this salon had a valid phone number. I have met a few girls who go to this salon and their braids look great, but I cannot find a working number number anywhere.
I go to Mary's often, but I recently found out that they do not know how to comb hair.I mistakenly went over there after getting my hair wet in the rain. Not only did they blow dry it before braiding it. But after blowdrying they raked through my hair root to tip, breaking every hair they could along the way. Finally they complained that my hair is too thick.I like the way the braids look, but I fear what my hair is like underneath now.
Great place for braids & twist.
