Oregon City Barber Shop

I thought that it was fair priced and thus my reason to give two stars. However, I left less than satisfied. My sideburns were completely off center by a noticeable amount after the cut. I should have checked them before I left the place, but it's still no excuse to drastically mess that up. Lastly, management could have been a bit more professional and I get the "country" appeal they are going for, but there could have been, you know, a greeting or a disclaimer of estimated wait time. The whole trying to be overly apathetic thing gets old and I will never return here again.
after coming home from my military career, I tried several hair cut places. I poked my head into Scotts shop one day and asked if he could do a flat top. he said he could, and I haven't gone any where since that was about 7 years ago. if you are looking for a hipster, anti gun, anti hunter this place probably isn't for you. if you want a nice down home feel and a great hair cut this is the place for you. great hair cut, great atmosphere.
I had been wanting to try this place out for a while. I liked the look of their ads, it seemed to me to be a traditional old school style shop with a small local owned business appeal. I decided to try it out because they placed a coupon in our local ad. I couldn't have been more wrong about the "look" or the nice hometown appeal I had envisioned. I felt like I walked into a modern country saloon, complete with the stench of cigarette smoke, awkward stares, country music, NASCAR and dead animals on the walls. Okay, not what I expected but maybe they are way nice and do a good job. The barber looked at me as I entered, I said "hi" and he just looked down and went back to cutting hair without saying a word. I thought "okay...I guess I'll just sit down." But then I kept thinking how long is the wait? Should I ask? Why couldn't they at least acknowledge my existence? Am I not "country" looking enough to get a hair cut? Should I bring my NASCAR hat or wear an NRA shirt next time? This started to really make me upset. I decided I might as well leave since I have no idea how long it will be, 5 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour? I got up and walked past the barber and ...again... he said nothing as I walked out the door. How rude can you be? You call yourself a business? Don't you want customers? I will not recommend this barber shop especially if you have a disdain for being ignored and if you don't want your hair to smell like cigarettes. But if you love camouflage, deer horns and tobacco.... this is the place for you.
Started looking for a new barber shop since Perfect Look raised their prices. Wanted a traditional barber and remembered their sign out on Molalla Ave. Atmosphere is nice and the barber's are friendly. Received a hot lather shave on the neck which was a nice surprise. Haircut came out awesome! Think I found my new Barber.
A real barber shop! They know how to do a proper military style cut. I haven't received a hot lather neck shave in years - I'll definitely be going back every month.
