Sit Still

We took out 3 1/2 year old grandson to get his first haircut today and had a horrible experience. When we made the appointment we were told to allot 30-40 minutes for a first haircut but when we got there they were running late so my grandson only got 13 minutes in the barber chair. The stylist was rushing because she said she had another appointment coming in and was unwilling and unable to spend the amount of time it takes to work with a 3 1/2 year old who has never had a haircut. This stylist did not seem to know how to work with kids nor was she willing to spend the time needed to make a successful first haircut happen. We left with a choppy, horrible half of a haircut which only took 13 minutes (cost $20!) and looks terrible. We left feeling ripped off and my recommendation is to avoid this place.
Great place! My 2 year old loved it. The staff was so kind and gentle. We will definitely be back!
My daughter loved all the special attention she got! Her hair always looks fantastic!!!
Absolutely love this salon =) took my 2yrs old daughter in for her first hair cut & mini mani ! she did not want to "sit still" but Aubrey did such a great job with her .The short hair cut is soo cute her lil mani adorable. i would defiantly recommend taking your kids here !
In some ways, it pains me to rate this small business with only one star. I wish I could give feedback for several categories, individually. Our stylist was great. The store was clean and the waiting area contained toys to keep my youngest entertained while my oldest got her hair cut. Having said that, I still have to rate the experience 1/5 stars based on the interaction/experience I had with the owner regarding a recent Living Social voucher redemption. I was surprised to learn upon my arrival that my voucher would not be honored. The limitation of "first time customers" was buried in the fine print. The owner readily reported to me that "lots of other people missed that part too" which didn't help me feel better. On the contrary, that information should have been informative for the owner to understand that she had a problem on her hands--one that she should have addressed with the marketing team at Living Social. She suggested that I try to sell the voucher to someone else. Having resolved myself to my own mistake, I decided to go forward with the haircut. As I was waiting for my daughter to finish, I visited with a neighbor of mine who happened to be there with her daughter who was getting a haircut also. The two of us actually commiserated over the fact that SHE TOO missed the fine print and had brought in an identical voucher although they were not first-time customers either! Here's the part that left me shell-shocked and prompted me to leave feedback for this business in a public forum (something I've never done). I checked out 3 minutes before my neighbor did. I paid $25 cash and tipped $5 for the haircut--carrying home a useless voucher that I paid an additional $20 for. Three minutes later, as I was still out front strapping my kids into their booster seats (and feeling disgusted for having spent $50 for a 6YO's haircut), my girlfriend emerged with the news that the owner ACCEPTED her voucher and she was not charged the for her daughter's haircut. I find it outrageous that anyone would attempt to operate their business in this fashion. I tried contacting the owner/salon privately by sending a lengthy email on the same day that this occurred. Unfortunately, I received no reply.
