Overcharged! I went to get a haircut at the advertised $6.99. Previously I had my hair cut by a stylist named Denyelle, who is no longer with this company. Denyelle was the manager at this location. She stated that she and all of the stylist were trained not to let anyone leave the salon with wet hair. Since Denyelle was gone I got my hair cut by a stylist that had been there only 3 weeks (Mindy). She dried my hair but certainly did not style it, nor use any styling products in it. When I went to pay I handed her a $10 bill and her manager (Kayla) said the price was $13.99, not the advertised $6.99 because Mindy"styled" my hair. Mindy wanted to charge me the advertised $6.99. I told them that I had come in for the hair cut only and that I had never been charged previously for a hair dry. Kayla insisted it was $13.99 because when Mindy dried my hair she used a brush. I paid the $13.99 and posted my concerns on their Face Book page. Brian Moss (the owner) contacted me and I was refunded the $7 I was overcharged and he said he talked to the staff about this situation. I told him once I received my refund that I would remove my Face Book remark and he said he already removed it! Seems unfair to remove all negative posts so people don't have a fair chance to rate this salon location. I will never go back, nor my husband, nor any of my friends and family as this was handled poorly. They lost a great manager and stylist when they lost Denyelle. They couldn't tell me where she went either so I am looking for a good stylist again.
I purchased the salon in August 2013. I am working with the manager to provide excellent service to everyone who comes into the salon. We are improving and doing our best to provide the service clients desire and deserve. I hope the person who had a poor experience will give us a second chance. Everyone makes mistakes. The salon is under new ownership and will make every effort to make things right and correct any past mistakes.
