Today, I went into 'Cuts by Us' to get a hair cut for myself and my two year old boy and my wife. The lady with a foreign accent was nice enough to check us in. Then the only male barber was very barbaric... he rudely refused to cut my two-year-old's hair. Why: Well he asked if the baby will sit still for his hair cut. I told him I did not think so, the baby is two and will not sit 'still'. Then he said in a rude and disrespectful manner, "then I won't do it...I refuse to do it if he won't sit still,"; looking at me as if I was insulting him. I walked out. All three attendant in the store were idle, reading or wasting time, and no one offered to cut the baby's hair, nor mine nor my wife's hair. I think the guy's name is Randy or something like that, but he had all kinds of metal things hanging form his face and was very rude and insulting. One of the worker who is older, named Sue walked outside and followed us down the sidewalk to apologized for her colleague's behavior, which she agreed was very inappropriate. I do not recommend this guy at all. I will never go back to that store.

A friend recommended I make an appointment with Mary Jo at Cuts by Us in Newberry Square after she heard how much I paid for my cut & color with a private stylist in town. My first appointment was for a haircut & I was really satisfied with the results (at a fraction of the price I was previously paying). My second appointment was for a partial highlight & trim. Mary Jo matched my old highlights perfectly and freshened up my cut. I am very happy to have found someone with a flexible schedule and loads of talent here in Gainesville!!
