I was recommended to Tareka Omar by a co-worker. Tareka Omar was the worse har stylist I have ever had the pleasure of wasting an afternoon on. I should've known this wasn't going to work out long before I got there. Every time I tried to contact her to set up an appointment her voice mail was full. She never called me back. I sent her a text message to set up an appointment and it took 4 days for her to even reply. 4 days! I got to the salon early and she showed up 10 minutes late to a 15 minute consultation. When she asked me about my hair and what I wanted, after I explained what I wanted she rudely cut me off and told me how wrong I was about everything I was saying. She then started to berate me, very loudly, about how I was aggressive and rude. She went on about how offended she was and how she knows what she is talking about. Getting yelled at for requesting to not have your ends trimmed is insane. I was neither rude nor wrong, but she refused to listen to me. Whatever happend to the customer is always right? Even if I was wrong she did not have to berate as if I were a very hard of hearing child. I tried to save the situation, but she refused to be polite or stop arguing with me as if she was the Grand Poo bah of hair styling. She made it seem like I was lucky to even get a consultation, when I know that free consultations are offered as service bu this salon to everyone. After her tirade she then told me we could start over but I had had enough. I don't need someone yelling at me and disrespecting me when they have already wasted my time. I told her we were done and I left. WHile getting out of the chair, she attempted to make mr fall by placing her hand on the chair and jerking the chair. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. I don't care how my friends hair look, I refuse to pay someone for horrible and rude service.

I went to this Salon right after New Year and my stylist was Carla. I had a relaxer touch-up done and was not sure about the style so I asked if she could just try something new. I have not been so happy about my hair in years!!! The Salon is clean, the stylists are professional and I have a highly sensitive scalp, but for the first time in years, I did not receive even one tiny chemical burn but my hair is bone straight. I was treated fantastic and my hair looked amazing. I will never go anwhere else!! Thank you Divah Salon!

I made a appointment and told the stylist exactly what I was having done. The day of the appointment she was LATE and then said I should have told her how much hair I had so that she would have given herself more time. She then denied me service and tried to send me to another salon.If the length of my hair is important to you don't you think that is a question you should ask me? I actually have gotten my hair done at several different types of salons and never heard someone getting denied service because of the length of their hair...discrimination towards my hair wow Sorry I'm not bald ...OMG!

My hair looks wonderful!!!! Ashley did a wonderful job on my hair; it's healthy and it's growing!!! Very professional atmosphere and courteous stylists!

My hair is destroyed! Every time I look at it, I'm heartbroken. Don't trust with a pair of scissors. Not even for a trim.
