Every time I go to Gloria I absolutely love it. She always does what I ask for exactly how I imagined it, and she gives excellent advice. I've been going to Hair Artistry by Donna since I was a kid, and I refuse to go anywhere else (tried a Hair Cuttery once, did't go back). Do be aware though, I've only had Sandy and Gloria, and Sandy is definitely better for more mature hairstyles (older than 50), whereas Gloria is best for younger hairstyles (talking like teens-late 40's). Both are absolute sweethearts though and will do their best to give you the exact hairstyle you want. The whole place has a very friendly, family-friendly atmosphere and I've always felt welcomed. Appointments are recommended, but if you just walk in you can probably get seated immediately or within an hour depending on if you're picky about who you have. This is a real hole-in-the-wall gem and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone of any age and gender. Do be aware though their one flaw is I don't think a single hairdresser in there would know how to treat, style, or cut black hair.
I had just come from a tragic hair disaster, was an emotional wreck, called Hair Artistry and they got me in within the hour. As soon as I walked in, the entire staff was friendly, agreed with me on my distaster of a haircut, and I have never felt more at home in a hair salon! It is right off route one, in a shopping center that doesn't look the best, but the women working there are incredible. Even the man who picked up the phone, Tony I believe his name was, was so nice, told me not to cry and promised they'd fix the mess attached to my head. The haircut was a great price, the girl who did it Gloria was adorable and super sweet, and I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to anyone who asks! The other 2 women working, Donna and Sandy were great too and they weren't even the ones cutting my hair. Everyone was chatty and involved and I loved it. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!!
