If I could give this salon zero stars I would. WORST experience I've ever had at a salon. I went in to get my set taken off and a new set put on and that's not what I got. She took my set off by soaking them which was fine but then she dried my hands with a DIRTY towel she picked up OFF THE FLOOR, trimmed my nails and then put the powder on my natural nail... She did not give me the full set like I asked. She then had me pay and wash my hands and when I go back to the seat she was going to put gel polish on my nails and I told her I didn't want gel so she didn't do the gel.... but I had apparently already paid for gel polish so her response was I'll discount you next time... very unprofessional and extremely dissatisfied with my nails. I've never had such a horrible experience at a salon and I've been getting acrylics for 7 years. I DO NOT recommend going to this salon.
I decided to splurge and get a deluxe spa pedicure and shellac manicure. The pedicure was nice, the woman took her time, and my toes looked great! I noticed as my pedicure was finishing, the place got really busy. When it came to my manicure, the gentleman sped through it, did not use the cuticle clippers but opted instead for a drill sander thing explaining that it works better and saves time, it looked awful when it was finished, I tried to explain that the edges of the polish were not smooth but they just rubbed alcohol over it. All of friends said that it looked really bad the next day; shellac manicures usually look really nice for at least a week and a half. When it was all said and done my bill was $75. That is a lot of money for me to spend on myself. I was really disappointed with what I came out with, and my pedicure polish started chipping the next day. I usually go to Aloha Nails in Lafayette, but they were closed because of the Labor Day holiday. I do not recommend Tip Toe Nails.
I would give it a lower score if I could, but poor-fair does not even come close to describing how horrible this place is. I went there to just get a simple mani-pedi, and It took close to 2 hours to finish. I would understand that they would like to do well and take their time, but not only did it take long but the final product was horrible. The pedi was bad and she left bruises on my leg from the massage, I asked for a design and they couldn't understand me so I wasn't able to get one, and the women was on the phone the whole time. Do not recommend what so ever!
My absolute favorite strip mall nail place. Sure, you can hit up a fancy spa. But you'll pay three times as much as you would pay here and i promise it won't be any better of an experience. They are thorough, don't skimp on their extras and don't rush the job. Couldn't recommend more!
This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had in a nail salon. I took my two daughters (4 and 6) there to get there nails done. The lady that worked there was talking on her cell phone very loud. My daughters picked out there nail polishes and she started painting my youngest daughters nails, I was trying to explain to her I wanted some sort of Christmas theme on their nails. She was so involved on her phone call she did not hear a word I said and ended up painting a real generic flower on my daughters ring fingers. Then looked at me and said you don't want yours done do you? I told her no and she got up and walked over and sat in a pedicure chair and continued talking on her cell phone and filling her own nails, with the same file as she used with my daughter. My daughters took a bath that same night and all the polish washed off. I could have done a better job at home and saved the $30. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!!!
