This review could easily move toward loved it-But I am hard Grader! I had every service (Other than Bikini Wax), during over the last decade, I can say that every provider I've had it at least very good. I have had Massage, facials, Nails, and back treatments. They do their best to stay on time, and they morph into the clients demeanor when it comes to talking, or not talking! I have been to almost every higher end Body treatment salon in the Howard County area, and Skin Care institute should be considered.

One of the worse facial I ever had. No extraction at all during my session even through it is clearly listed as part of the facial on their menu. When I asked why, they told me that my skin "is not fit for extraction". I been getting facial since I was a teenager and I never heard that at all. Also, my face start breaking out the next day. I do not recommend this place at all and I will never go back there. [4/41/2012 @ Jeri, maybe that works for your skin. For me, my skin NEEDS extraction. Because they did not do any extraction on me and put all the other skin care products on my face, it cause an acne outbreak on my face the next day. I spend a month to get my skin back to where it was before. The fact they did not correctly diagnose my skin type, it show lack of experience and skill on their part in dealing my skin type. What they know maybe sufficient to deal with you and a lot of other people. But for me, it was one of the worst facial I have gotten in my life. It is a disappointment to me since I move to this area recently.]

I have been to many other day spas in Howard County and even in to Anne Arundel, and most have left me upset at their service. I've had people walk in my room as my service was being offered and the facials usually left my skin scarred. Skin Care Institute however was wonderful! I had a prenatal massage and deep pore cleansing facial. Both the therapists were extremely friendly and polite. The prenatal therapist new exactly what she was doing and made me wonderfully comfortable with my huge belly haha. The esthetician conversed with me when I wanted and spent a lot of time on my face, making sure she completed thorough extractions. I left without any pregnancy aches and pains, and very smooth refreshed skin. I highly recommend this day spa!
